If something goes wrong on the day.....

Post by Alex »

I hope everything goes smoothly for all the children taking the tests this year. However, every year for some poor children something goes wrong just before or during the tests, whether it be a beloved pet dying unexpectedly or the child next to them being sick or any one of a myriad of possible calamities major and minor. Every year at appeal time there are poor parents trying to explain why their child did not do as well as expected in the tests and they will always be asked, "Did you let the school know this at the time?" or "Did you discuss with the school whether your child should go ahead and take the test?"

Please, if something does happen that may have affected your child, let the school know immediately. Hopefully you may never need to mention it again, but should you find yourself in the horrible position of appealing against non-qualification, then what you have done now may matter.
