How do you judge how well you're child is doing?

Post by Joga »

We have used this site and bought the practise papers suggested on this forum and our son has worked so hard over the summer. (We haven't hothoused him but the pre-visit to King's really fired him up.)

How can we judge how he is doing when NFER do not provide the standardised tables?
He is averaging 85%+ in the Verbal reasoning and 75%+ in the Non verbal reasoning and genuinely don't have the foggiest whether this would get him near to the required 220 - 225 score that the school told the boys would be necessary to get in.

Is there any way of converting the scores from the NFER tests even if it is crude as he is asking us if he thinks he will get in and we, whilst being really supportive and praising him for his sheer hard work, don't know what the answer is.

Can anyone help?

When my son was practising last year I was told that he needed a minimum of 75% in both to pass. Hope that helps.
