QEHS Gainsborough Results

Post by LincsMum12 »

Results day finally here! Did anyone get good news? We think we have, we are out of catchment so not sure at the moment. (Queen Elizabeth's Gainsborough).

Hope everyone has done well and its such a relief that all the build up is over! 😀

Hi!

My daughter passed but we’re out of catchment so very worried if she’ll get in or not 😓 Good luck!

Well done to your daughter! :)

Same here, and I'm not sure what the out of catchment cut off score was for the 2022 tests (2023 entry), i'm trying to find out. But nevertheless we will still just have to sit it out and wait till 1st March

I hope you get good news.

Thank you! I don’t know cut off range for 2023 entry either. For Sept 2022 entry it was 257 to 282 for out of catchment. I hope it’s good news for you too :)

The lady in charge of admissions at QEHS has said the last place offered on offer day 1 March 2023 was 259.

Will someone with a score of 273 and above who live outside the catchment area likely get admitted for March 2024 offer?

Hi Alfafemale

It is not possible to predict, as it's dependent on how well the entire cohort do in the test, number of siblings etc.
The cut off score for out of catchment has historically always been less than 273, so in previous years, that score should have resulted in an offer of a place out of catchment.
We are also hoping to get offered out of catchment with a similar score.
Fingers crossed, and good luck.
