Wait until you get the official score before worrying too much more about by how far she missed. 508 is a big drop from the last few years pass mark. Good luck for the rest of your DD's tests

If this is correct then I think the early test date has a huge bearing on the much lower than usual pass mark. Many children did little preparation during the summer holidays (who can blame them!) but this only left 3 weeks from the start of the school term to get firing on all cylinders again.

I certainly noticed a huge drop in practice paper exam marks in those children that were doing really well up to the summer holidays but on their return in September were acheiving much lower in their marks.
Meanwhile children that were "practicing" during the holidays made steady gains on their achievements.

Not sure what it will take to convince the admissions team to change to a later date though.

How peculiar as I have heard from the rumour mill that the pass mark went up this year not down!

Blimey. That's quite a drop from last year if it is 508.
