How do RGS calculate their cut off score? Do they work from the top down until they have filled their places? Can someone enlighten me? Thanks.

I was imagining this would be the case; I don't think they can 'announce' a cut off til all the applications are in etc, surely?

They award two places on music ability.
Then they just have the remaining 163 places filled with the top 163 scores,
The score of the last pupil is the cut off score.

last year it was 13 points above the pass
the year befor only 8 points
This year - the year 6 number of children is down, so will be interesting to see what it is.
