Re: Lowest passmark for RGS?
If it is a standardised score, no-one has any points added on, simply put, your daughter will be compared to other children born in November. The effect of this is that younger children may (or may not depending on the cohort) need a slightly lower score to achieve the same standardised score.Shellabella05 wrote:That's incredibly high. I'd love to know what their raw scores are. My daughter is November so wouldn't have had any points added on for her age.

Well yes that's exactly what I mean. They give places according to their standardised score however someone who has the same standardised score as her born in July would actually have had a lower raw score.

Medway Council told me on the phone this morning.

So the cutoff is 33 marks above the pass mark - much more than in recent years (see my post on Sun Oct 16, 2016 11:18 am)

Presumably the Medway pass mark is known when results are released, but we have to wait to find out what score is needed for RGS.

You won't actually know what score is needed for RGS until allocations in March.Sparklecat wrote:Presumably the Medway pass mark is known when results are released, but we have to wait to find out what score is needed for RGS.

Really? I thought score discussions go on way before then so that people get an idea of chances etc?
Anyone got any advice?
