Medway and Kent test format

Post by nikki2403 »

Hi Guys,

Can anyone advise me on the actual format on the Medway and the Kent test, please?

I know what is covered, however, I am looking for information on how it is done. I.E with the Medway I know the Maths is 50 mins, is this sat all in one hit i.e come in, sit down for 50 mins and get on with the test.

Or is it 10 mins one section, stop, 6 mins another section, stop, etc, etc.

I bought a CEM practice test paper and this is broken down into segments, is this a replica of the format of the test?

The GL paper seems a lot more straight forward in that its 50 questions 50 mins. None of it is broken up.

Would like to hear from someone whose child has recently done the test.

Thanks alot.

The Kent Test is not 50 mins, it is broken up. Maths 25 mins, English 25 mins - some practice questions prior lasting circa 10 mins. The reasoning paper also lasts about an hour total - broken up into 20 mins for Verbal Reasoning and the Non-Verbal and Spatial sections broken down as well. The reasoning paper should last total of 1 hour (including practice questions)

Medway - Verbal reasoning is broken down into individual sections e.g Antonyms, Comprehension, etc
Maths is also broken down, I believe into Maths 1, Maths 2, etc

Hope this helps
