In-Year admissions

Hello everyone - long time no see! I used to visit regularly when my son was year 6.
He's now year 9 and I'm reaching breaking point with his current high school.
Does anyone know anything about in-year admissions at NHGS? I have emailed them and I know his year is currently full but he can go on a waiting list so, when a place becomes available, he can sit a test. But do we know if it will be a test similar to the 11 plus or will there be a non-verbal reasoning part or what? The school don't seem to be giving much away.
Thanks all x :D

Hi Haze,

The best information I can find is here http://www.nhgs.co.uk/pdfs/Policies/Adm ... Policy.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It look like the tests would be curriculum based
If there is a vacancy in Years 7-11 the applicants appropriate to the year in which the vacancy has arisen will be invited into school to take the most recent school tests in
English, Mathematics, French (or equivalent MFL) and Science.
I'm just rushing out but I'll PM you tomorrow. It's good to hear from you. :D
