SGHS Appeals dates

Not sure if this was already known but SGHS website has dates for appeals posted:

Timeline for Appeals

1st March 2013 Allocation of places by the Local Authority

28th March 2013 Deadline for appeals form to be returned to Skipton Girls’ High School

22nd April 2013 Appeals will be heard during the week beginning 22nd April 2013

Long time to wait from allocation day for an appeal...

Pah, we had an appeal date of 4th June, now THAT is a long wait from 1st March (but it worked in our favour ) . Some have been known to have even later appeals

Are SGHS appeals 'in house' now they're an academy Andy?

Good luck to everyone on 1st March, if you do need help with appeals you can't do better than this site, it's brilliant.

They're an independent panel, not sure whether the school is organising them. It does say it's binding on the school and parents.
