After successfully tutoring my own children to pass the Skipton selection tests, I am about to embark on tutoring my great niece. Unfortunately for me, I understand that the SGHS exam format has changed. I am aware that they are now tested in maths, English and verbal reasoning, but other than that I know nothing.
Can anyone please give me any information about the format of the maths and English exams, eg Number of questions, timing, is there a comprehension, and anything else that may be relevent.
I am assuming the verbal reasoning is as it was, but I have no experience of the maths and English exams.
Any information will be gratefully received.
Not in your area, but assuming that my search online found the right school, there are details regarding the admissions process and the entrance exam in the 2017 admissions booklet on the school website:http://www.northernstaracademies.org.uk/skipton-girls-school/parents--carers/admissions/admissions-to-years-7-11/
