I've one starting in September and one in Year 10 - I did get the info about lockers but stupidly didn't question myself which one it was for. I did ask if they'd be big enough to share and the answer was probably not (although if just coats would be ok). My eldest does use their locker for PE kit etc.

I don't agree with the shortened lunchtime especially for the new year 7s. The rationale about length of day for those who travel (parents know what they're in for when they accept a place) didn't add up against the benefits for children who are new to school having that lunchtime hour to socialise with their new year group and help them settle in.

The CTS bus company disagrees, too. They posted a tweet saying it could lead to higher bus fares as they will lose revenue due to lost business (using the buses during the day). I’ve heard another argument that the rugby team will also suffer as there will be insufficient time to practice.

I thought it was a done deal and hadn’t realised the impact of what looks to be a minor change.

Will the bus company REALLY lose revenue? - it's bringing it forward by a maximum of 15 mins for 4 days of out 5. I suspect it is an opportunity to blame any increase on the change to the timetable though!

Presumably, it would depend on what the drivers and buses are doing / where they're doing it / how tight the schedule is? I remember one school trip with DS2 when our coach driver announced on the outward leg that the return time would be slightly earlier than we were expecting, as he was required to cover a school pick-up. This was an open-ended trip with Reception pupils, so no major issue, but a trip with GCSE students to a timed event might have had to be turned down.
