Heckmondwike 11+ 2020
The test date has been moved from Monday, 14th September to w/c 19th October due to Covid 19. The result of the test will not be known before the last date to submit the preference form. It doesn’t affect us as we’ll take the catchment school if DD doesn’t get a place. However, with only three preferences allowed on the form I can imagine some people may be worried they may ‘waste’ one. Do you think it could affect the number of entrants?

Re: Heckmondwike 11+ 2020
I suspect people will carry on as normal - the main problems come in area where people want to put don't multiple grammar schools without knowing any results and leaving no space for guaranteed catchment schools. The system used to be like this until the exams were all moved forward to ensure they had the results before 31/10, it was much better when they did as although a certain result didn't guarantee a place at a GS, it made the outcome clearer for a lot of people.
Good Luck with the Heckmondwike exam!
