Stay Strong and don't let them win.

Post by Catseye »

As an adopted mancunion I feels proud of our vibrant city and people-the heart of the Industrial revolution, the birth of atomic age with Rutherford , first programmable computer, Pankhurst ...........graphene - not to mention the greatest sporting city in the world.

We are strong and we must not allow ourselves to be divided by these animals.

Targeting children -whatever next ?

My deepest condolence to the dead and hurt.

+1

My heart goes out to all caught up in last night's nightmare in Manchester :(

Also, a big thank you to our wonderful emergency services.

Evil will never triumph.

Exam Boards say GCSE and A level exams can be postponed and rescheduled for those schools and colleges impacted.

How touching that local people contacted social media offering to put up those who might have travelled to the concert and been unable to get home after the closure of Victoria Station. DG

My thoughts are with all those affected - especially the families of those murdered.
It is especially hard when it involves children but I agree - we are strong and we will not let them win.
DD1 is off to Slamdunk in Leeds at the weekend for a mid-gcse break. I know I will worry all the time she is away, but I will still let her go.

I was having drinks and abominable Domino pizzas with 20 old friends blue and red watching the Europa Cup-

Shyness is nice, and
Shyness can stop you
From doing all the things in life
You'd like to

Shyness is nice, and
Shyness can stop you
From doing all the things in life
You'd like to

So, if there's something you'd like to try
If there's something you'd like to try
Ask me, I won't say no, how could I?

Coyness is nice, and
Coyness can stop you
From saying all the things in
Life you'd like to

So, if there's something you'd like to try
If there's something you'd like to try
Ask me, I won't say no, how could I?

Spending warm summer days indoors
Writing frightening verse
To a buck-toothed girl in Luxembourg

Ask me, ask me, ask me
Ask me, ask me, ask me

Because if it's not love
Then it's the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb
That will bring us together

Nature is a language, can't you read?
Nature is a language can't you read?

So ask me, ask me, ask me
Ask me, ask me, ask me

Because if it's not love
Then it's the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb, the bomb
That will bring us together

If it's not love
Then it's the bomb
Then it's the bomb
That will bring us together

So ask me, ask me, ask me
Ask me, ask me, ask me
Oh, la, la, la, la, la

God bless Manchester and those who died and injured from around of our beautiful nation - the greatest sporting city in the world always been at forefront of the curve -intellectually, emotionally, morally, musically, fashion................

My heartfelt sympathies go to those affected by the attack on Monday night in particular to those families and friends who lost loved ones or have loved ones injured.Ever since Tuesday morning we have been following events closely and my eldest dd was looking at facebook to ensure her friends were safe once the safety check was activated.

Her flat is round the corner from St Annes square but has been studying for her final exam at home.I have been glad she is at home. All her friends from the University of Manchester were safe including those who were working part time in the Arena or attending the concert on that fateful day.

On a lighter note as a fan of a team from the greatest football city further up the M62 on this occasion I was ambivalent about the result due to the circumstances.
