What's the highest score you know of so far?

Where I live, people don't mention Stretford much. I only know about people who just about passed for Stretford.

Our Son got the following scores- not sure about the highest score but he was the only who passed all 4 in his year group and the only who passed AGSB. We are applying for ooc places.

AGSB: 353
Sale: 366
Stretford 375
Urmston 368

368 would have been high enough to get a top 20 place at Urmston in the previous 5 years.

I've seen a 400 for Stretford.

I know of kids who got around 400 for Alty Boys. Presume they got higher than that for Stretford, but it's awkward to ask people for their score at every school.

I can't be 100% sure but I believe the scores go above 400.

In previous years I know kids who got 423 at Sale, Stretford and Urmston. But again, I can't be sure this year wasn't capped at around 400. IIRC, the FAQs say "the maximum possible mark is confidential"

Wow that’s incredible. I’m not sure I understand this top 20 then…how can in previous years it be above 368 but there are people getting 423- surely there are more than 20 people within this bracket. Am I completely missing the point?? Is it the top 20% rather than 20 people?

Because its the top 20 students who choose Stretford / are offered places - many of the top scorers in the Stretford exam won't actually have Stretford as a 1st choice.
