Hi

Can anybody help with an appeal for Sale Grammar School on oversubscription. To add to the problem I live outside the catchment area but do have an elder child already attending SGS.

Has anybody experienced an appeal and what arguments did the school put forward?

Any advice appreciated.

If you don't mind me asking, why are you considering an appeal at this stage when the places aren't offered until March? Is it just in case??

Sorry didnt mention my DD failed by two marks. Think we could argue case to have score reviewed but this wont be enough to be allocated a place. Children outside catchment area are placed in rank order.
