Hi

I stumbled across this site looking for information on the 11+ - Daughter would sit entrance for 2011.

Does anyone know of the success in obtaining a place at Loreto if living outside the catchment of Trafford - We are catholic attending a catholic school but outside of Trafford.

I don't want to put her forward for the exam if doubtful to receive an offer if she were to pass of course.

Not a great deal of info on the web site.

Many thanks if you are able to assist in my questions

have a look at

sounds like you have to be in a specific category - higher the better!

Thankyou - I think the criteria has changed over the years

Cat 5 is now other Catholic children whicj is where we fall - Outside of area.
How does this reflect to the old criteria ...

Does anyone know of anyone attending outside of trafford?

thankyou all

Hi info please

We live in Stockport and my son attends a Stockport Catholic school. Girls from our school go to Leoreto every year. My friends daughter is in Y9 and doing very well. This year 3 or 4 girls passed. Pass marks aren't as high as for St Ambrose, mainly because part of the Loreto exam is an English Comprehension, which some find difficult.

A bus full of girls go from Stockport/Didsbury picking up along the way in Gatley/Cheadle and so on.

You didn't say where you lived but if she passes and you are Catholic you have a good chance of a place.

Best of luck x

Thankyou so much for taking the time to reply.

We live close to Parrs Wood so a huge relief.

I hope you got your chosen school.

Hi

The bus stops at Parrs Wood on the way.

No problem, if you want some advice on what type of prep you need to do just ask. I am assuming your daughter is Y4 or 5.

We will find out about schools on 2 March. We are hoping for Alty Boys like most of the people on the Trafford Section, though I would be just as happy with St Ambrose.

Good luck with it all
