Yellow School Bus - Brooklands to AGGS

A group of parents from the Brooklands area are trying to pursuade TfGM to provide a school bus service from Sale to AGGS via Brooklands Rd. Does anyone have any experience of this and/or be able to advise whether they have any legal obligation to provide a school service and on what grounds?

The TfGM website does provide some information on exisiting services at

but no information on how to lobby for a new service. Any further information gratefully received.

As far as I understand they are diverting the Loreto Bus from the A56 down Brooklands Road to AGGS. I can try and get more info from my source if you need it, but there has been confirmation from the council in an e-mail I have seen.

I am pleased to confirm that a new school bus service will now operate from Brooklands tram station to AGGS.

Service 724 from Flixton will call at Brooklands station at 08:00 and continue to AGGS via Brooklands Rd, Stockport Rd and Loreto Grammar school.

Please ensure that anyone who would benefit from this new service is made aware.
