Hi, can anyone tell me what the furthest distance place offered at Stretford Grammar was last year? I know it will be different each year but I just wanted see. Thanks

Wanted to ask the same question. Also, has anyone had a look round Stretford and what did you think?

According to the Trafford admissions booklet: Some Category 3 applicants. Last offer by
distance (1.29 miles)(for 2013 intake)

A friend's son was offered a place for 2013 on appeal (no interview as far as I know) and they live in Northenden so I would hang on in there if it's a preferred option for you.

That seems tiny! Is the distance always that small, it barely covers Stretford?

I contacted the school before deciding to put my DS in for that exam and I thought they had said in the past few years it had been as far as five miles. I may be wrong it seems like a very long time ago

Naa that can't be right (1.2 miles).
I know of people from Burnage in Manchester who have a place and are going there this year.
That's about 5 miles

I won't give up hope yet then, the admissions lady was nice, I should just ask.

I contacted the admissions lady and she told me that the places are normally allocated within 2 to 3 mile radius
