when my DD moved prep in year 4 I got her secondhand summer uniform as even though they only wore it for a few weeks before changing to winter, it meant she didn't stand out too much as "the new girl"

It is difficult to understand why someone will choose an independent school in this area, where the primaries are so good. I am sure the school is very good, though.

Many are very good. Some not so. We have a lot of reasons to move her, most of which are personal and I cant go into on a public forum.

Completely agree with you there Halemum. Not all are great, even the one's with 'outstanding' Ofsted. Best of luck to DD at her new school- it is meant to be excellent.
