when my DD moved prep in year 4 I got her secondhand summer uniform as even though they only wore it for a few weeks before changing to winter, it meant she didn't stand out too much as "the new girl"

Completely agree with you there Halemum. Not all are great, even the one's with 'outstanding' Ofsted. Best of luck to DD at her new school- it is meant to be excellent.
