Post by payel123 »

Hi

Ds is sitting in the afternoon session which needs us to report around 1pm.Since I will be coming from Manchester Piccadilly by Tram, any idea whether the football match might disrupt traffic ??I am not from this area so some guidance would help me plan the day .Thanks in advancexxxxx

Take the Metro from Piccadilly to Stretford. The school is almost across the road when you come out from the tram stop. Maybe have a plan B in case the metro is not running as it sometimes isn't. The school's leaflet says the football is likely to impact to would suggest just being v early and killing time nearby if you have to.

its not far from Stretford Arndale- not exactly my dream place to kill time but thats the closest, theres nothing near the school. the traffic and parking is absolutely horrific ( I was in the area last year) so the tram, seems a good bet!

DS said easier than Alty, Sale and Urmston. Although, that doesnt mean it was "easy".

Good Luck

Thank you ManYou,

My DD was very tired after Urmston. She had Loreto exam last sat so we will be sitting Stretford on the second sitting in October only.
Glad it is easier that the rest schools.

My daughter found Stretford harder than Urmston even though her strongest subject is VR! I've tried to resist getting detail of why this was as its done and dusted now and no amount of talking will change the outcome!
