Re: Trafford Consortium Results Date
Is there much difference in the SGS and UGS scores?
Re: Trafford Consortium Results Date
No - he scored 361 for UGS and 363 for Sale.
Re: Trafford Consortium Results Date
Just got ours, 349 for Stretford, 336 for Sale, 337 for Urmston, 329 for AGSG. Loreto is our first choice.
Re: Trafford Consortium Results Date
Well done to your daughter.
Unfortunately my daughter failed. Highest was 319 for Stretford.

Re: Trafford Consortium Results Date
Our results are AGSG 345, Urmston 353, Sale 355 and Stretford 368. So confused with such a big range between the four schools, albeit it was the same exam. I know it is compared with averages of each cohort, but was not expecting such a big range

Re: Trafford Consortium Results Date
Many thanks to this forum for excellent support. My DD qualified for all 4 schools. Her scores are AGSG = 389, Sale = 403, Stretford = 418 and Urmston = 398. Can someone please explain how they standardise the scores.

Re: Trafford Consortium Results Date
My understanding (and I may well be wrong!) is that the ‘standardised’ part is purely based on age. For example, my son’s birthday is in September so he doesn’t get any marks added on to his raw score. Whereas a child with a birthday in August gets 11 marks (ish) added on to their raw score. This effectively ‘standardises’ the score to even out their age difference.
The reason for the difference in score outcomes from sitting the same exam is that each school weight different aspects differently. So UGS may have placed greater emphasis on an NVR section to Stretford, or AGSG may have given less weighting overall to one section. This is why most childrens’ scores will follow the same pattern in each year. So, this time their highest scores are generally Stretford, then Sale, then Urmston and then AGSG.

Re: Trafford Consortium Results Date
Hi my daughter got 324 for Stretford, we've been offered a local review panel, providing information from primary school. My daughter had great nfer scores 135 for maths, 132 for reading, 129 for writing and is greater depth for everything, did well in the mocks. We are a bit shocked tbh.
My question is should be do the local review as she is within 10 marks or is it a waste of time? Thanks
