Dear all,
I was reading the admission policy for AGSB 2020.

Website states:

7.4 Priority Category 4
Applicants whose permanent home address lies within the school’s priority admission area with a total standardised
score of 334 and above. Priority admission area is defined in section 7.2. Places will be offered on the basis of
ranking as determined by their aggregated GL assessment selection scores.

Does this mean all the boys who would score 334 and above will be ranked? Any thoughts /analysis how this will affect the admission chances for within catchment boys. Thanks.

This isn't a change as far as I can tell - all catchment children scoring 334+ (including adjusted scores) will get a place unless there aren't enough places. And in 2020 there is a PAN of 202 (compared to previous 173) so they have a better chance than previously.

See https://www.agsb.co.uk/media/95086/2020 ... policy.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - see point 7, oversubscription criteria. If there are too many catchment children who pass, they are ranked by distance from the school, not by score. The only children ranked by score are those outside the catchment area.
