Re: School Allocation Offers March 2020
ooof! My DS was one mark away from the top 20. Also out of catchment this year, we are 3.6 miles away. We thought he could've got in, but sounds like not. Luckily he chose Stretford as it's closer and walkable.
How did you get this date Beeptoot? Would be interesting to see similar data for Stretford Grammar.

Re: School Allocation Offers March 2020
I think it’s a bumper birth rate year this year, so maybe that has shrunk the catchment? I know the local secondary comprehensive school (which my son goes to, having missed SGS by 2 marks in 2018) has a really small catchment this year.
Be interesting to know the results for Sale Grammar too. We are 1.8 miles (1.5 as the crow flies) and got in.

Re: School Allocation Offers March 2020
It has shrunk, but I think last year (from the stats) when it shot up to 7+ miles was an anomaly, and the previous years had been 3+ or 4 miles.

Trafmum82 - this link doesn't tell you the distances etc, but it shows how many took the exam and passed (think its another big increase - 2900 took it compared to 2600 or thereabouts last year but with a similar number of passesBe interesting to know the results for Sale Grammar too. We are 1.8 miles (1.5 as the crow flies) and got in.

This FoI site is worth keeping an eye on too, but there may be a wait before the school can confirm the final admissions list.

We are in M14 that’s not listed on the Stretford site as a postcode they I Initially accept and that’s the closest school Grammar school to us. March is going to be a very interesting month.
