Acceptance deadline for MGS is tomorrow (12/03/2009) and like Traffordmum says I'd be surprised if there wasn't any movement on the waiting list after this date.

Good luck.

Waiting list update

Post by Gatley »

For those of you who are interested, I've been told there are 42 on the waiting list for Sale Grammar this year. (My son is one of them !)

Anyone know the size of waiting lists at other schools such as Alty?

My son is one of them !

I'm sorry you are still waiting, Gatley. I'm afraid I have no info as to the waiting list at Alty Boys. Good luck!

Hi

we have just heard back regarding our appeal for Alty boys, we were unsuccessful.

Our son scored 340 in the original exam, but we are out of catchment and so did not get offered a place.

After speaking to the school they advised me that it will be highly unlikely that any further offers will be made as they are so oversubscribed.

Just wanted to post an update on our situation as previously promised.

We are unsure of out of catchment score cut off for entry , I have heard that it was around 347 but have no clarification of this.

Feeling very disappointed!
