Post by Guest »

Has anybody heard back on an appeal date for Wirral Grammar for Girls.

Does anybody know the number of appeals for this school?

Thanks all

Hello AM,

How come you've got so much info? My LEA are very tight lipped can't get anything out of them. Do you have inside information?

p.s. How's our presentation going

Hey Tired Mum! Rehab is that way ^.

I just called the department dealing with appeals and they were very forth coming, I didn't even get to quote the "Freedom of information act"
I think I have there department telephone line on my BT friends and family now. The plan is to hound them until they except my daughter, if not the "PP presentation" gets hauled out. I was thinking we should get a coach load of rehabs to appear with us at our hearings. Imagine their faces :o :o :o !

No I haven't got a clue on final numbers but I'm sure they would tell you if you phoned them. I haven't had to give my name just that I was after some information, if you do find out can you please let us know?
I do know girls got in on scores of 228 through the Independent Assessment Board.

There is hope for us all yet.

Thank you NBS,
I will do, it's nice to see you on the boards again.
You should come on over to Rehab and say "Hi" they are a friendly bunch.
How is everything with you? Is your daughter excited?

Just got back from a Very COLD :( week Holiday on the Costa Del Sol.

But glad I didn't have other things on my mind whilst I was there, which is what I expected.

I'm more excited about it than my daughter really. when I ask her about this and that about Wirral Grammar she shrugs her shoulders or grunts, not really bothered but once it gets closer she'll probably get excited...

Her friends are going also which is a relief.. Think she has a good chat to them in school and comes home to me not interested.

Will stick around the boards, your probably addicted now like I am..

At least one thing positive has come out of this 11+ nightmare for you, you have found great help and laughs from people on this Forum.

I'm wishing you luck again for your appeal, You deserve it.

have people received notification of appeal dates for Wirral grammar - just a tad concerned as I have not had anything yet but appeals are being held at the end of the month?
