1st march, allocations day

Thats going to make friday a long day for a lot of people.
We have applied to wirral schools but live in cheshire, I am wondering if there is some sort of announcement on cheshires website - I will take a look and report back

Couldnt see anything on cheshire website so hopefully people who are in cheshire will still be able to log on

Just phoned cheshire lea to see if people living in cheshire but applying for wirral will be affected with wirrals technical issues and they said no
They also said from half past midnight people will be able to start checking on line. They said on line and emails will be done in batches.
Think I might just have to sit up till 12.30 tomorrow night
Oh and they also said you can accept on line too

Thanks for info ......batches though we have a surname ending in p so if hey do it alphabetically could have a long night....think I might just get up early!!!!!

I think I will stay up anyway and check but if its not there at 12.30 will go to bed and recheck in the morning
I am getting rather nervous/anxious about it now, time seems to be dragging now

Just checked Wirral's admissions site. There is no facility to log into your account now and then it says:
Applicants who apply on online will be notified by an e-mail to their registered e-mail address by 4pm on allocation day. For secondary school places in September this year, allocation day will be 1st March 2013.
A letter will also be posted to your home address by second class post on allocation day to be with you early the following week, depending on the local postal service. Applicants who completed a paper application form will receive the allocation by post only.

There is now no mention of technical difficulties so either they have been resolved and they are uploading the details and the login option will be available again Friday (this is my hope), or they have removed the log in option all together so we stop trying to access and still have to wait for the email.
Roll on Friday as I just want it to be over now, and good luck to you all!!!
