On the Wirral preference form there is a section where they ask you if there are any other reasons for your preference etc. Appart from medical reasons can anyone tell me what other examples of reasons are relevant here. I mean can you say things such as if a child excels in french for example then a school specialising in languages is a plus for them?

We put down music as a reason for one school(school has music specialist status) and religion(Chrisitan school) as a reason for another school. The guidelines to the application say that these reasons play no part in the allocations if they are not in the admission criteria of the school involved. But we put them down anyway just in case it went to appeal (didn't pass by a small margin)so that we can show from the outset we have listed preferences. don't really know if it will make a difference.just covering all bases.
