Does anyone really understand how this works? My son was born in1st Oct so old in the year and I’m worried how it will affect his result!

Re: Standardisation
There's a section on it at the top of the page, under the "11plus advice" menu.
No need to worry. In summary, he is compared with other children born in the same month. There are no marks deducted or awarded for older and younger children respectively, despite what you may have heard from insistent parents. It's one of the myths of standardisation.

Thank you! That makes me feel better. Can anyone confirm the day we’ll be receiving the results? I’m getting conflicting advice!

The official date is the 21st which is a Sunday. I’m thinking we’ll get the email the Friday before.

Re: Standardisation
My daughter is September born and I worried the same. The whole standardisation is like a secret society I do wonder how they get from the raw score to 236!! At the Wirral Grammar opening evening last month the head suggested you need to get around 66% to pass.
