Hi,

My daughter got 263 which is great…..but we’re in North Wales and hoping for a place at WKGS.

I believe it is not impossible, but still going to worry until March, regardless!

Keeping everything crossed.

Anyone know of success rates for out of areas in previous years please?

Thanks,

They look to have not been as oversubscribed as WGSG for the last few years so I'm quietly optimistic. My daughter preferred WK - we're Great Sutton so a bit further out than most too

How can you find out if a school has been oversubscribed in previous years?

You can see last year's figures on the Wirral admissions information document on the Wirral website - this year all girls who wanted a place got one

My son got a place in last week's results too in group A, we are very happy, the not having to wait until March to know where he's going is a big plus.

Congratulations to your daughter!! :D

I dont think score comes into it and if over subscribed, it goes on distance. I am concerned that although my son scored 265, we live 7.5 miles away from Calday and I am not sure where we would stand on distance.
Just looking back at some previous figures
In 2018 the last boy offered a place was in category 5 (16.3 miles).
In 2021 all on-time applicants were offered places.

Could you possibly let me know where you obtained this information from please? : )

That’s really useful too. Thank you again.

Hopefully all will be well regarding distance but we’d be more than happy with St Anselm’s’ if not x
