Well it's finally here (albeit a day early because of strike action) THE LAST DAY AT PRIMARY SCHOOL.

It's a sad day and the hours are passing very quickly to picking up time and I'm just hoping I can hold out and be strong when we collect DD. It was bad enough at the Yr6's production a couple of days ago - had to keep muching polo's so I didn't sob - especially when they all sang 'We'll meet again' ... twice!!!

It's an exciting period about to start as DD got into Wirral Girls which was where we all wanted her to go but it's the end of an era - not just for us as her parents but for the school as the Headteacher is retiring so that just makes it extra sad, boo hoo.

I'm just off to buy some tissues for later

Mumster-Hope you managed to hold it together. I too feel exactly the same and am dreading the last day (friday) and the Leavers assembly. I've already blubbed at the music concert so there's no hope for me!-Maybe meditation is the key.
I suppose it's all about them growing up really and it feels like holding back the tide (at least until I can get some sea defences in place).
Anyway hopefully this time next year we can hope that they are happy and settled in Wirral Girls-hope so.

This week I've sobbed at school production, leavers assembly, handing out presents and when some crazy parent started harrassing me about spelling lists in the playground (I'm a parent governor). DD has just gone off for her final day and against all tradition I have decided not to go with her as I think I would start rolling around on the floor and hooting like a banshee. I'm already getting a 'touch of moist eye' about when DD2 leaves - isn't this ridiculous!!??
