Hi all

I will be new to the area next year and am putting my son through the Calday 11+ in the hope that he might get in.

We have been round the school and really like it. I have 2 questions on the format of the exam and wondered if anyone can help.

Firstly, is it a multiple choice exam and secondly are BOTH exams Verbal Reasoning, ie is there no non-verbal/maths/english involved?

I would appreciate it if someone could give me an idea of what we are facing!!

Thanks

Hi Lollypolly,

The Wirral 11+ consists of 2 verbal reasoning tests. Both 80 questions in 50 minutes and both multiple choice. Wirral test on 21 types of verbal reasoning. You will find a lot of help on this forum regarding which types. Hope this helps.

Good Luck.

Hi,

My son took Wirral 11+ last year.

I recommend the the test papers from the Bright Sparks By Susan Daughtrey (I think thats spelt right?!?!?!) They were closest to the layout of the actual tests he took as we started with NFER tests but found out that these are quite a different layout.

Hope thats of some help to you :)
