I understand from this site that Madeliene Guyon has written papers in Verbal Reasoning - I have never heard of these papers till just now. Has anyone used them? How do they compare to Walsh and Nfer? Any feedback would be most welcome.

Dear Stressypants

I do sometimes use Madeleine Guyon in my lessons.

Their Introductory papers are not that much below the difficulty of their normal papers. Difficulty wise, I would put them before Walsh.

You will have to watch out for some of their Maths questions, because although they do not actually put brackets in, the child needs to have knowledge of BODMAS in order to get the correct answer.

Personally I ignore these questions crossing them out on both the Question booklet and answer sheet. For this reason I do not use them as tests, they are completed section at a time during my lessons.
