Missing Letter

Hi All,

Need to find missing letter, that goes with both group of words.

WAR (..) ANK
HER (..) AIL

There has to be an error in the question, and I think it is the first option of "WAK". The only letter that can complete WAK is E, and that can't work with the other 3 options.

You do seem to be having more than your fair share of problems, Essex Dad! Where is the question from?

Hello Sally-Anne, the paper is provided from a tutor with out the answers, the forum has normally always been a last call, totally agree about my fair share :P, the forum has been a great help, my DD alway's get's excited about the response's.

I too think it's an error.

In that case the answer is "S", but it is a terribly limp question. It would have been more fun if that last word had been ATE, giving ward, dank, herd and date. Much more like the real standard of the tests, because "dank" is a test of vocabulary.
