hi patricia,
my son has finished VR CD Vol. 1 + IFN stuff as well (along with little itti-bitti). he happily managed to not to read in last few weeks, because of my health i couldn't chase+scream at him :) . i just wanted to ask if i should buy/start on Vol. 2 now or should leave it at the moment as he has to do some more of paper work yet. any advice - most welcome. oh yes one more thing when is the right time to test him with 50minutes/ 80 questions papers? thanks.happy mum, nishant. :D

You can start the 50 minute tests now if you wish, there are enough of the correct type on the market.

Keep up the good work and pin him down to make him read!

Your aim in my opinion is to get him completing the test (NOT rushing) but completing the test around 40 Minutes.

This time limit set is at last few weeks before the exam. NOT Now just before the exam..

Mistake I made was having my daughter complete in 50 Minutes right up to the exam. When she hit a few hard questions she panicked and ran out of time. Missed a few out. Thankfully she still passed.

Aim to spend around 30 Seconds Max on a question.. Obviously you will get some really easy ones which will make up time to cover the hard ones. Type Z's usually left until last..

the key is make sure he finishes around 10 minutes to check over his work or Not sure questions. Sometimes the answer pops out upon returning...

Yes and make him read and learn new words..

Darren

thanks
