I have been working on the principle that IPS are easier than GL.

I based my understanding on this useful post.

I have always assumed they were arranged in order of difficulty but I might be wrong in that assumption. This is my first and last 11+ attempt so I am just soaking up advice like a sponge

I haven't exactly followed this approach as Patricia has recommended but he is getting weekly tuition by SD and appears to be cruising through his weekly assessments there ! I've accelerated further with him at home through the rest of the techniques. Maybe he'll get a better grounding from SD. He has stated that SD is easier than what he does at home ....

Manny - I would agree with the comments above that you should be very encouraged by what you are seeing. If anything I would suggest you check and see if there is a pattern to qu's that are going wrong and tell your DS to slow down a little if it seems like silly mistakes. (A DS who goes toooo fast sounds heaven to me...)

I am planning the Tutors next and then I suppose Bright Sparks and maybe ultimately Walsh (scary I've heard) then finally back to GL near Sept. Sounds like you are racing through them though....We need to back up a little on the VR and focus on the English which is falling behind...maths pretty good for us at the moment.....

Hello Toolate

Back up on the VR and English indeed, yes defo an area you can't do enough of in my opinion. He always loses marks in this section. Good luck !
