GL Assess Pack 2 - are these bad questions or is it just me?

..and to add to this issue, there isn't a question 6 on the answer sheet
My youngest came home and announced that she'd done this paper in an after-school club and found it very frustrating that she couldn't fill in her answer .

I think they are poor questions but the second one is at least answerable - it's the best answer out of a bad bunch. Whereas the first example - surely you could match up recent just as well with today our yesterday. Something I did today is even more recent than something I did yesterday. It's a **** question. Hopefully t hey set the real papers with more care.
