My copy reads "bear" instead of "beat" in the second set. The closest meanings are therefore "carry" and "bear".

Grizzly = Leaden = Heavy...I think. I would definitely not expect my 10 year old to know grizzly = leaden!

Was a bit :shock: by Q3 same paper... 'Campanology (!!!) is to (tents, bells, flowers) as ecology is to (fish, pollution, habitats). (exclamation marks are mine...)

Oh dear!

My DS wouldn't have had a clue about 'campanology'....now I'm worried! :lol:

Grizzly (or grizzled) and leaden might mean "grey" ("under a leaden sky", or "his beard was grizzled"). And leaden can mean heavy as well ("after running a mile, his legs felt leaden"). But grizzly does not mean heavy in any context.
