:oops: Have checked synonyms, cant find any probable answer. Will have to wait for the right answer from DIYmum.

I thought it was a "t" so I guessed custom too.

It is a bad picture copy :oops: But the missing word is custom. :) Others are enclose and attract.

Has anybody ever experienced CEM test where Cloze is not multiple-choice? Ie the Dc has to find a word or some letters to complete the word or sentence themselves?

And was in the actual Warwickshire test this year and two years ago, too. (Don't know about last year!)

It's been a regular feature in the B'ham exam since 2007 although recently, they've used mc. Apparently, last year's missing words on the topic 'volcano rabbits' was one of the hardest to date. Who knows?
