Took the demo exam Learning Together Verbal Reasoning Volume 1

The following 2 questions has me in a twist

GD is to RO as HE is to?? - Answer: PM
MR is to CH as ZE is to ?? - Answer: OT

Appreciate any assistance

In the first one the difference between the first and next letter is of -3. G minus 3 makes D… same logic for all terms.
In the second one the difference between the first and second letter is of +5. M + 5 makes R … same logic for all terms.

Forgot to add, for the second one, after Z continue the counting from A.

Sure I understand that. However how do I get HE is related ??

In this case I would need some relationship between GD and RO so that I can determine what is related to HE?

I could find some relationship...

G + 11 pos = R
D + 11 pos = O

11 pos = 4 (for D) + 7 (for G)

H + 8 pos = P
E + 8 pos = M

But why 8 position? Is it a typo??
