CODES

Post by rionatheprincess »

MY daughter is struggling with codes. I want to know how many types of codes are there to learn. Is there any specific website or book from where she can learn. And also I need to know which book I need to follow. Thanks in advance.

The *GL Assessment code questions are generally known as Types C, L, N & U. You can find out which is which here: http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/advice ... t-a-glance" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (You need to scroll right down to find Type N - they weren't always on every paper, so the listing isn't wholly alphabetical.)

Those "letter headings" for the question types come from the IPS books available in our bookshop. http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/shop/IPS-Publication/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There are many, many posts on this section of the forum describing basic techniques for solving them - just scroll through the various threads and you will find them.

Let us know which books you have used or are using, and we can recommend others.

* Caveat: I am assuming that AGGS is still using GL Assessment!

Sally-Anne or someone in the know !

I have not really worked out if codes such as the ones on the link for GL assessment and mirror codes will come up for the 12 + Bucks CEM on March 7th. DD has been practising but just wondered what you thought.

Seems a bit late in the day I know - but just for piece of mind it would help to have a concise view !

Thanks in advance

Sally-Anne
Sorry to be a pain - I didn't read it properly - will use that as an example to Dd - always read the info properly!
Is it that only code types C L N U won't be in CEM and the other code types will. Or is it that none of those at all will be in CEM Bucks forthcoming 12 +. ?

Apologies for repeating myself and thanks again...

Is it that they are precluded, or is it that they have not so far been included but could be going forward?
