Timing of questions - and are they weighted?
Hello. My son is taking the first 11+ paper (VR) in Lincolnshire next weekend. He's been practising using the GL papers as advised by the schools locally. Just recently he's timed himself on different sections to see where he needs to speed up, or if he should leave some sections until the end. Every section has around 7 questions of the same type, except for Type Z questions, where there's only one. My son is reliable at these, but they take a while to work out - a couple of minutes. So, my question is: are these questions worth more (weighted)? If not, I'll probably be advising him to leave them until the end. Any advice gratefully received.

All GL verbal reasoning questions are worth one mark.
Z questions should be guessed (any letter) Your child can come back to them if they have time. If they do not have time at least there is aguess in place on the answer sheet.
