Douglas is facing NE. In which direction is he facing if he turns clockwise through 2 right angles?

How can this be worked out?

first be sure child understands which direction clockwise is, following direction movement of hands of the clock.

Then make sure child knows compass points North, South, East and West.
If Douglas is standing facing NE, the first right angle(90 degrees) turn clockwise will bring him SE.

The second right angle turn (90 degrees)will bring him SW.

3 things tested here in this type of questions:

Clockwise and anti-clockwise direction
North, South, East, West Positions.
Right angle= 90 degrees.

Ir's a poor question - he could turn clockwise or anticlockwise through two right angles and it would make no difference!
