is letter pattern type of questions no more in CEM?
It is year 2016, from sample & mock tests, it seemed to me that spotting letter pattern type of questions is no more in CEM VR exams.
It has always been baffling that it is a VR - literacy, English. I think they are more close to logic and NVR.
Is this the case?

They are no more, codes, alphabetical and number sequencing are not in CEM. DG

Re: is letter pattern type of questions no more in CEM?
Are there really CEM clips on youtube?
Re: is letter pattern type of questions no more in CEM?
The answer to that question is almost certainly No - just like these are no CEM 11+ books on the shelves in WHSmith.Daogroupie wrote:Are there really CEM clips on youtube?
A quick search on YT reveals just how common a name 'Cem' is in the Turkish population, though .

I should clarify that I mean youtube clips on letter pattern questions. There are lots.
Simon and Schofield's VR books now have 1/5 qs that not applicable :sigh: Although one can argue on a high morale ground one should learn it all the same, but really?
I think it is a good thing CEM get the rid of this.

If you are sitting CEM then don't waste one second on any format that is not CEM. Many students are spending a lot of time on CEM though some tutors still insist on teaching VR as they say it is good for the brain apparently? I meet students weekly sitting HBS who are still doing NVR and VR with their tutors who tell the parents that it is good preparation.
By the way there is a CEM section that this post really should be in, perhaps the mods can move it? DG
