Scores using GL assessment papers for VR
Hi all,
DD will be sitting the Wandsworth Borough test, Suttons grammars and may try for some indies later this year. What sort of score should she be getting on the GL assessment papers/Bond books/CEM etc at this stage? She's born in July and we are DIY, no money for tutors.
Many thanks.

I guess the answer is 'as many right as she's getting, and teach her how to tackle the ones that she doesn't get right' but I've no idea either.
Sorry, that's not very useful.

Re: Scores using GL assessment papers for VR
Based on comments in the Kent section, about 55% is a pass in the Kent Test. I have seen some say that you should aim for 90% in books and expect 20% less in exam conditions than at home. All very vague, I know.
Our issue in VR is one of speed rather than accuracy. But not going to work too much on that until nearer the time, so any effects of study do not wear off.

The OP isn't looking at Kent schools, and I imagine the marks needed to gain a place at some of the schools mentioned is likely to be a lot higher (disclaimer: not my area!).
scary mum

Thanks all for the advice anyway.
I wish we were in Kent!
