I wonder if anyone can help, in book 2 of IPS Verbal reasoning daily practice tests, the answer to the following question is 30 but how? What does A 4 mean?

Letters stand for numbers. Work out the answer to the sum.

A= 120 B= 10 C= 40 D=5 E=30

A 4 E x B -B = ?

Dear Bex

Its a printing error should have the divide sign.

A= 120 B= 10 C= 40 D=5 E=30

A 4 E x B -B =

120 divided by 30 = 4

4 x 10 = 40

40 - 10 = 30
