Using the same rules for the 1st set of numbers, find the missing number in the 2nd set of numbers.

(a) 3 [12] 48 5 [ ] 80 the answer is 20

(b) 100 [20] 4 150 [ ] 6 the answer is 30

(c) 3 [15] 75 4 [ ] 100 the answer is 20

I can not work out the rules or the patten can any one help please?

Hi

(a) multiply then square root

48 x 3 = 144
square root = 12

80 x 5 = 400
square root = 20

Same rule for (b) and (c)

Regards
