I thought I would get some ideas for compound words for ds, so I looked in the Vocab Builder, and I think I am going to get IBS! The words are sooooo hard, you cannot be serious?
carpentry
humongous
notations
panoramas?
bananas
impalas
momento
aggghhhh <faint>
I am getting the heebijeebies!

Yes I can see if split into three but in the test they only split into two, or atleast thats how they have appeared in all the papers we have.
I a pretty sure we don't haveto worry about these types.

I think it's just to get you into the habit of searching words for smaller words, like brain training

Oh you can split them up into three words? that makes a bit make more sense
No we dont need this type for the 11+. Thank God!
YoYo123, I understood the imp + alas but i would never make a word called impalas with the two - I have never, ever hear of that word!
