I guess they have reversed bat (3 middle letters) to get tab and then added an s at the beginning and end to get stabs.

So nip would become pin and then add the s at the front and end to get spins. I think snips must be an error?

Bit confused with this one. I don't have the exact IPS papers but...

If the logic is to reverse the letters in the first word and then prefix and suffix with 's',

'nip' will become 'pin'
add 's' to both ends to get 'spins'

Isn't that how it should be?
