As far as I know 'login' and 'pitin' are not words (but it's getting late and I'm tired).

'that' is more likely to be the answer than 'Them' because you are unlikely to begin a sentence with 'Them' and therefore it wouldn't have a capital letter. Or am I reading too much into this? :?

Hi Linda

He needs to ignore capital letters in these questions - he should read the question entirely as if it is lower case. As there are only 5 possible answers, and the sentences rarely exceed 6 words, some of them are bound to include the start of the first word.

There may also be capitals elsewhere in the sentence of course:

"In China they eat noodles every day."

Sorry Sally-Anne, I didn't mean to confuse the issue!

I was only going on the info Linda had posted and now she has clarified things it all becomes crystal clear! :D

Linda, my daughter found these kind of questions quite difficult at first as she is a very fluent reader and tends to scan rather than read. After a few practice sessions the answers seemed to 'jump out' at her and I'm sure this will be the case for your son.

Good Luck.
