Changes to the SET exam 2022 intake

Post by Maximillian »

According to the Nonsuch website, the English SET exam will now include 'a comparison of texts' ( Section D 10 minutes) . It is very late to announce this as the current cohort have no experience of this, and I can only find standard form KS3/KS4 material. I suspect that publishers are now scrambling to prepare some, but unfortunately. it will not be ready before this year's exam.

I imagine they have announced it late so that there is a more level playing field.

I'm also worried about these changes. If you get any more information, please post it here.

Looks like this change was there between 2014-2017 SET exams and I can't find any materials from old CGP/Bond books. Can someone confirm this change was there previously.

For those who can afford them, Exam Paper Plus has just published 6 papers to practise section D.
